A set of two cute hair grips decorated with origami kawasaki roses and a centre of gems. The roses are made from a 5x5cm square of coloured origami paper with the gems attached in the centre and then carefully hand-folded into this traditional design of a rose. They are coated with water-proof spray varnish which hardens the paper and creates a sturdy product for everyday use.
Selling these for charity on etsy :)
Here’s the finished product! So this is my first Origami/Kirigami light switch plate.
The branches are pure origami where as the cherry blossoms are kirigami. You can get them to look like that origami style, but it involves starting with a pentagon and…it just wasn’t working. So I busted out the scissors! I’m surprised that they held up being Mod Podged.
I do wish that I hadn’t covered up the second branch so much; considering it’s the first time I’ve ever attempted something like this though, I’m not beating myself up to much.
So I had this cute as all hell little lizard origami paper, but I didn’t want to use it in a regular model, so I used a bow diagram I found and I’m thinking maybe I’ll put it on a clip and wear it. It’s not pure origami but the results are great. [Diagram]

Origami bows! The top two pictures have six kusudama parts placed above them. I will be posting a picture of the kusudama when I am finished.
